Armand de Mestral honoured by the Canadian Bar Association

Professor Armand de Mestral was awarded the Paul-André Crépeau Medal for 2006 by the Canadian Bar Association, Quebec Division, at a reception held on September 21 at the CBA headquarters in Old Montreal.

The President of the CBA (Quebec), Me Louis Brousseau, spoke warmly of Professor de Mestral's many activities, emphasizing his scholarly contributions in international law. In turn, Armand de Mestral told the audience how ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ has been a perfect setting for this kind of work. He made special mention of how honoured he was to receive the medal named for Professor Crépeau, "qui m'a donné mes premières leçons de droit."

The Paul-André Crépeau Medal recognizes a lifetime achievement in the fields of international trade and commercial law.
