Balloch named ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ - Ye Olde Orchard athlete of the week

MONTREAL - Gideon Balloch, a native of Hong Kong, is the ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ athlete of the week, sponsored by Ye Olde Orchard Pub & Grill, for the period ending April 1, 2012.

Balloch, a 6-foot, 185-pound winger on the men's rugby team, was named "man of the match" after scoring 16 points in his final game as ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ rallied from a 13-point deficit to defeat Harvard 41-30 and capture the 33rd ÌýCovo Cup game in Cambridge, Mass., Saturday.

The 22-year-old mechanical engineering senior tallied a pair of tries and added three conversions. Born in Ottawa, Balloch moved to Hong Kong in his youth and enrolled at ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ in 2007 out of the International School of Beijing.

He will receive a gift certificate from Ye Olde Orchard Pub.
