Darche pots pair, nets 200th goal in AHL

Mathieu Darche's 200th American Hockey League goal was very workmanlike but that's appropriate because he's had a workmanlike career.

Ìý

Darche has been scoring big goals his whole career and one person who has seen that first-hand is Dogs assistant coach Martin Raymond, who had the Montreal native on his team at ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ from 1996 through 2000.

Darche, who turns 33 next month, has played 526 games in the AHL, with Syracuse, Milwaukee, Hershey, Worcester, Norfolk, Portland and Hamilton. He’s scored 200 goals and added 223 assists and jokes there weren’t a lot of highlight reel tallies. Darche has also played 101 games in the NHL, with Columbus, San Jose and Tampa Bay.
