Under normal circumstances, B.C. Lions vice-president of business operations George Chayka would be part of the Leos' front office posse at training camp in Kamloops this weekend. But Friday, Chayka and his overnight bag were headed for Montreal on family business ... the business of a proud father seeing his only son get settled for the next chapter in his life.

Mike Chayka, 21 in August, has been invited to the ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ University Redmen football training camp after being named an all-star two of the last three years with the Vancouver Trojans in the B.C. Junior Football Conference. "It's an invitation, not a scholarship," Chayka, Sr. says. " Clint Uttley, the defensive coordinator at ±«ÓãÖ±²¥, coached at UBC when Mike played high school football. He kept tabs on him all this time." Like father like son, Mike's studies at ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ will be with the business development program.
