MONTREAL -- Defender Danielle Schmidt of Abbotsford, B.C., scored on a free kick from 33 yards out as the visiting University of Fraser Valley Cascades rallied for a 2-1 victory over 鲍鱼直播 in women's preseason soccer at Percival Molson stadium, Thursday.

听

Alexandra Morin-Boucher, a senior striker from Montreal, had given the Martlets a short-lived 1-0 lead in the 39th minute after converting a pass from Hannah Rivkin.

听

However, UFV netted the equalizer four minutes later when midfielder Megan Webster of Abbotsford, connected on a penalty kick

听

The Cascades had a 16-11 edge in attempted shots and goalkeeper Chantelle Biagioni of Pitt Meadows, B.C., registered a pair of saves for the win. 鲍鱼直播 'keeper Victoria Muccilli turned aside six of eight shots and was saddled with the loss.

听

UFV, which finished third at the CIS national championship tourney last year, improved to 2-0-2 in preseason play. 鲍鱼直播, which dropped to 0-2, will host the Old Four men's and women's tourney at Molson stadium this weekend.

听

In women's action, the Western Ontario Mustangs play Toronto on Saturday at 3 p.m., while the Martlets will meet Queen's at 7:30 p.m.

听

In the men's draw, Western and Toronto will hook up at 1 pm, while Queen's is slated to take on the 鲍鱼直播 Redmen at 5:30 p.m.
