OTTAWA -- ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ stormed out to a 6-0 lead thanks to two penalty kicks by Stephanie Lynam of Beaconsfield, Que., but the Ottawa Gee-Gees women's rugby team didn't give up on Sunday. With just over five minutes remaining, second-year centre/wing Nicole Deacon broke through the Martlets line to score a try and bring the score within one point and fourth-year wing/fullback Lana Dingwall converted for a 7-6 Ottawa win.

The Martlets and Gee-Gees both own identical 1-1 records in the six-team Quebec University Rugby League. They are tied with Laval (1-1) and Sherbrooke (1-1) and sit two points back of Concordia (2-0).
