PIERREFONDS, Que. - Centrefielder Adam Gordon of Dollard des Ormeaux, Que., went 2-for-3, with four runs batted in, a double, two runs scored and was hit by a pitch, twice, as visiting ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ outlasted John Abbott College 14-9 in a wild Canadian Intercollegiate Baseball Association game at George Springate Field, Tuesday.

It was the second straight win for the Redmen, the defending national champions who dropped their first four games of the young season.Ìý ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ stretched a 3-1 lead into an 11-1 advantage with an eight-run explosion in the fourth inning and never looked back. First baseman Steven Warsh of Richmond Hill, Ont., and catcher Chris Haddad of Pierrefonds, Que., each hit a two-run single to spark the rally.

±«ÓãÖ±²¥ racked up 12 hits in the game, including eight from the bottom half of the batting order, which produced two hits apiece from Gordon, designated-hitter Ted Davis of North Andover, Mass., Haddad, and shortstop Landon Moore, a freshman from Ottawa.

Starting pitcher Conrad Hall, a junior from Pte. Claire, Que., registered the victory. In 4.1 innings of work, he allowed five hits and three earned runs to go along with three strikeouts and as many walks.

±«ÓãÖ±²¥ (2-4) will host cross-town rival Concordia on Wednesday night in a "Fan Appreciation Night" promotion. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at Pierre Elliott Trudeau Park in Cote St. Luc, just behind the Cavendish Mall.

The Redmen have arranged for free transportation and all who take advantage will receive a free ticket to the game. Two buses will leave from the Roddick Gates on Sherbrooke Street at 6:30 p.m. followed by a third bus departing at 7 p.m. They will drive fans to and from the park. It is recommended to be at the Roddick Gates at least 15 minutes prior to departure times and the buses will return to campus immediately following the game. There will be an after-party at the Peel Pub.

REDMEN RAP: Matthew Ross from the Team 990 will be a special guest public-address announcer and Annakin Slayd, a local recording artist, has been invited to perform the ceremonial opening pitch. Slayd was a Montreal Expos baseball fanatic and is renowned for his song
