MONTREAL - Anneth Him-Lazarenko, a member of the ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ women's basketball team from Ste. Dorothée, Que., has earned all-conference honours in the Quebec University Basketball League.

The 20-year-old education and history sophomore was also named as the conference nominee for the Tracy MacLeod award, presented annually to the CIS player who best demonstrates determination, perseverance and unwavering spirit.

Him-Lazarenko, a 5-foot-10 ±«ÓãÖ±²¥, earned CIS all-rookie honours last season but had her freshman campaign cut short by a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee. She re-joined the Martlets last November and led the QUBL scoring race with an average of 15.0 points per game and was third in rebounding, pulling down an average of 7.8 per game. Shew was six in field-goal shooting (.472), ninth in free-throw shooting (.603) She was also ±«ÓãÖ±²¥'s top scorer seven times in her 13 games and was the team's leading rebounder an equal number of times.
