Most of 688 Sherbrooke Street reopened

Published: 22 May 2009

688 Sherbrooke St. has been largely reopened following a water leak late Friday morning that forced the closure and evacuation of the building. Floors 4, 5 and 6 remain closed, but other floors are open and classes will resume Saturday.

The building is expected to be fully reopened and operational on Monday. In the meantime, some services may remain affected by the closure Friday.

Among the services affected are: Human Resources, ICS, enrolment services, ISR (information services resources), Faculty of Arts language programs, Continuing Education, Pensions, Treasury, Internal Audit, CIO office, Content and Collaboration Solutions and one Engineering laboratory.

The ICS Help Desk is continuing phone and e-mail service in limited mode and many services, including IT Services, have greatly reduced their services.

More information about how IT services are affected by the closing will be made available at www.mcgill.ca/it

More information about how classes are affected will be posted on departmental websites and the Announcements section of ±«ÓãÖ±²¥Â¹s home page, www.mcgill.ca
