MONTREAL - Five different 鲍鱼直播 marksmen hit their target as the No.7-ranked Redmen stretched their win streak to four consecutive games, skating to a 5-2 victory over Royal Military College in men's university hockey at McConnell Arena, Saturday.

Rookie netminder Hunter Shaw of Penticton, B.C., made 19 saves to record his first career CIS victory. It marked first time in school history that the Redmen had won three straight league games with three different starting goaltenders. Danny Mireault started in 鲍鱼直播's 10-1 home-ice victory over Queen's on Oct. 30 and Hubert Morin played in a 5-1 decision at Queen's on Oct. 18.

The last time that this is believed to have occured in CIS regular season play was in November, 2000, when Alberta turned the feat with consecutive victories on Nov.11, 17 and 18.

New Redmen head coach Jim Webster had to scramble to find a backup goalie for the game as sophomore Hubert Morin missed his second straight contest due to illness and sophomore Danny Mireault was taken out of Friday's game in the final period with a suspected fractured collarbone. Webster managed to track down freshman Jared Sacks, a walk-on who had been released in training camp.

鲍鱼直播 outshot the Paladins 40-21, including a 19-7 margin in the opening stanza. The Redmen led 3-1 after one on goals by rookie Sebastien Rioux of Chicoutimi, Que., at 6:24, sophomore Maxime Langelier-Parent of Levy, Que., at 17:39 and Francis Verreault-Paul, a sophomore from Mashteviatsh, Que.

Team captain Jeff Oke netted the Paladins lone goal of the period.

听

The marker by Rioux was 鲍鱼直播's first power play tally of the regular season, which came on the heels of a too-many-men penalty and snapped a 0-for-20 PP drought. The Redmen ended up 2-for-8 with the man advantage, while RMC shot itself in the foot, going 0-for-7.

The teams traded volleys in the middle frame, with Guillaume Doucet of Anjou, Que., scoring another PP goal at 3:48 and Paul Whalen replying for the Paladins seven minutes later.

听

Marc-Andre Daneau, a sophomore 鲍鱼直播 from Aston Jonction, Que., put the contest out of reach at 5:24 of the third.

听

RMC (2-3-1) plays at Ryerson next week, while 鲍鱼直播 (4-0-0) will put their win streak on the line at home to Carleton (4-3-0) on Wednesday.

REDMEN RAP: The loss by RMC was no doubt a bittersweet feeling for ex-鲍鱼直播 captain Ken Morin, who was playing his first game back at McConnell Arena since transferring in late August to the Kingston-based school to pursue an MBA... No doubt the result was just as difficult to swallow for RMC head coach Adam Shell and assistant coach Chad Blundy, both of whom previously patrolled the Redmen blueline. They now have lost five straight to their alma mater after winning their first confrontation 2-1 on Jan. 26, 2008.
