Redmen-Pats rivalry stoked Darche's playoff fire

Canadiens ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ Mathieu Darche vividly remembers at least two encounters in the storied and often fierce playoff rivalry between the ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ Redmen and Trois Rivières Patriotes in university hockey.

The first was March 3, 1997, when Darche was in his rookie season with the Redmen under head coach Martin Raymond, who is an assistant coach with the Canadiens' American Hockey League affiliate in Hamilton, where Darche started this season for the Bulldogs.
