Ting rings four times as Redmen rail Gaels

MONTREAL - Mike Ting of Boston, Mass., scored four times as 鲍鱼直播 overwhelmed visiting Queen's 13-4 in men's university lacrosse at Forbes Field, Saturday.听 The result improved 鲍鱼直播's record to 4-1 and moved them into a tie with Carleton (4-1) atop the CUFLA East Division, while Queen's dropped to 1-3 and sits in fourth.
Veterans Ryan Besse of Aurora, Ont., Noah Miller of Burlington, Vt., and freshman Nolan Prinzen of Summit, N.J., each added a pair of goals. Rounding out a balanced offensive attack for the Redmen were goals from Brandon McLean of Victoria, B.C., Greg Henry of Halton Hills, Ont., and Jishan Sharples of Vancouver, B.C.
鲍鱼直播 goalie Guy Fox had another solid performance, stopping many challenging shots and allowing only four goals to register the victory.
Matt Erikson tallied twice to pace the Gaels, while singles were scored by Quinn Garrett and Kevin Harper.
The Redmen are now headed for a crucial first-place showdown against Carleton on Sept. 30 at Forbes Field (8:30 p.m.). Depending on the outcome of Sunday's Bishop's-Queen's game (Sept. 26), there is a chance that Carleton, 鲍鱼直播 and Bishop's could stand in a three-way tie atop the standings.
REDMEN RAP: Following the contest against Queen's, the Redmen hosted their fourth annual alumni game and came away with an 11-2 victory.听 Freshman Connor Charles of Fairfield, Conn., exploded for four goals, while rookie Ross Burst of St. Louis, Missouri, added a hat-trick. Also scoring for the Redmen were Ossie Long (2), Sepp Stephens and Deacon Blue.听 The alumni squad was paced by goals from current Redmen assistant coach Jason Martin (鲍鱼直播 '10) of Montreal, as well as Luke LaCava of Westin, Conn., who graduated last spring as 鲍鱼直播's all-time leading goal scorer.
