��ֱ�� MMF secures top spot in Canada in QS World University Rankings

The ��ֱ�� Master of Management in Finance (MMF) has been named the top program in Canada and secured a top-20 spot in the QS Masters in Finance Rankings 2021.

Released today, the QS World University Rankings places the ��ֱ�� MMF 1^st in Canada and 17^th internationally out of 166 programs. The rankings were informed by five indicator groups: employability, alumni outcomes, value for money, thought leadership, and class and faculty diversity. The QS World University Rankings today released its 2021 QS Global MBA Rankings, placing the ��ֱ�� Master of Business Administration (MBA) second in Canada.

Of the 258 programs considered for this prestigious ranking, the ��ֱ�� MBA ranks 59^th worldwide, climbing 12 spots from 71^st in 2020. The rankings were based on five indicator groups: entrepreneurship & alumni outcomes, return on investment, thought leadership, employability, and diversity. Only two years since the program launched in 2018, the Master of Management (MMA) program at ��ֱ�� has carved a spot in the top 10 business analytics programs in the world and taken the top spot in Canada.

Montreal and ��ֱ�� named on Business Insider top-50 list

Business insider has published a list of the cities with the world’s top-50 universities according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. Included on the list are Montreal and ��ֱ��, thanks to Montreal’s quality of life, the Underground City, the festivals, the Biodome, the botanical garden and various other niceties. As for ��ֱ��, the piece credits the school’s reputation as a leading research institution and its social sciences department as major factors.

��ֱ�� among Canadian schools maintaining their places in the university rankings

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings are out for this year, and ��ֱ�� maintains its place as number 42 in the world. ��ֱ�� is one of only three Canadian schools in the top 50 and six in the top 200. Phil Baty of Times Higher Education called the fact that Canadian schools were holding steady this year a real plus, saying that “You really have to run fast to stand still in this context of intense global competition.” In contrast, not only did top-ranked US school Caltech lose its number-2 spot this year, but American schools across the board slipped in the rankings.

MBA students in Canada tackle sustainability to get a competitive edge

��ֱ��’s Desautels Faculty of Management ranked second in the latest list, which was released in October 2015, while the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business was fifth. Those Canadian universities all outranked some big name American schools, including Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University.

The rankings consider the number of core courses that focus on sustainability, the quality of each school’s faculty and the depth of their business sustainability research.
