StackMap discontinued effective May 30

StackMap, the online mapping and way-finding tool found in the catalogue that physically locates items in the stacks will be discontinued effective May 30, 2024. The bulk of materials featured in StackMap have moved to ��ֱ�� Collections Centre scheduled to open in June 2024.

Know before you go! Waitz now available at Schulich Library of Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Engineering

Waitz is now available in the Schulich Library of Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Engineering.

During the busiest times of the year we regularly hear from students regarding how challenging it can be to find a place to study in library spaces. In order to help address this concern, ��ֱ�� Library is working with Waitz to display space use information online that shows how busy the McLennan-Redpath Complex and Schulich Library are in real-time, by floor, so that students can save time.

Exam period access to Nahum Gelber Law Library for Fall 2022

As of Thursday, December 1, ��ֱ�� students are able to access the Nahum Gelber Law Library 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As agreed between the Students' Society of ��ֱ�� (SSMU) and the Law Students Association (LSA), the Nahum Gelber Law Library will limit access to the three upper floors of the library to Law students only during the December 7 to 21 examination period.

��ֱ�� catalogue interface changes coming August 24

As of Wednesday, August 24, significant changes will be made to the ��ֱ�� catalogue interface. As shown in the accompanying image, the dropdown menu for result sorting options that was located at the top of search results will now appear on the left panel with other search options such as grouping related editions and expanding searches. Also, the “Group This Search” accordion will display as collapsed by default and will read: “Search Result Display”. Last, the “Refine This Search” accordion will now also display as collapsed by default and will read “Expand This Search With”.

MUNACA has obtained a strike mandate from their members, following a vote that took place on April 6. ��ֱ�� has been informed that MUNACA intends to exercise their right to use pressure tactics and is planning a two-day strike this week on Wednesday, April 20 and Thursday, April 21, 2022.
