The 鲍鱼直播 Alumni Association (MAA) celebrated some of its most dedicated alumni and volunteers at its annual Honours and Awards Banquet tonight. Student leaders, graduates who have had a significant impact on alumni life and the community, and volunteers with outstanding records of service to 鲍鱼直播 were honoured at a banquet held at the Omni Mont-Royal Hotel in Montreal.

Nothing so became Herb Gray (BCom'52) than the manner in which he left the House of Commons, where he was the third-longest serving parliamentarian in our history.
... Gray was proud to be Canada鈥檚 first Jewish cabinet minister. He grew up in a Canada that was not always kind to people of his ilk, but he succeeded nonetheless, studying commerce at 鲍鱼直播 and law at Osgoode Hall.

Lili has a long record of service as a volunteer for the MAA and the Faculty of Management, and she most recently served as Vice-Chair of the 鲍鱼直播 Board of Governors. In addition to her 鲍鱼直播 involvement she has sat on the boards of Centraide, the OSM, Y des Femmes, and the Montreal Circus School.

鈥淲e saw these handbags and we wanted to buy these handbags,鈥� Graber said, gesturing to the camel-colored leather model on the checkout counter at the company鈥檚 store on Lexington Avenue in Midtown Manhattan.

Since January, I've been teaching a somewhat different type of course at 鲍鱼直播. While saddled with the unfortunate standard curriculum name "Marketing and Society," the class is anything but.

When I first put this course together, I had a discussion with two academics I respect immensely, Prof. Morty Yalovsky of 鲍鱼直播 (who used to be MY stats prof in my undergrad years) and Prof. Pete McGraw of the University of Colorado at Boulder (and co-author of the upcoming book "The Humor Code").聽

Montreal-based investment firm Formula Growth Ltd. is hoping its $1.1-million gift to four business schools on Monday will inspire other private companies to help out the province鈥檚 struggling universities.

Along Highway 401 and over the Ontario border, Tyler Maxey and some of his MBA classmates at 鲍鱼直播's Desautels Faculty of Management in Montreal are also learning by doing. Their modus operandi: investing other people's money. Since 2008, students have been running a registered fund management firm called Desautels Capital Management that has about $3 million in assets.

Most professors exhaust themselves trying to get their students off of social media.聽Andy Nulman (BCom'83), however, has designed his entire class around being on it.
In what鈥檚 believed to be the first syllabus of its kind, 鲍鱼直播鈥檚 marketing and society class uses YouTube鈥檚 Creator Playbook as its sole course book. And, in lieu of a final exam, students will be evaluated on their launch of a unique channel on the video-sharing site.
