We are excited to honour BMH 2017 at ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ and we wish to recognize Black Excellence in a multitude of areas throughout the history, the present, and the future of the Black community at ±«ÓãÖ±²¥, in Montreal and across Canada. This is an especially important year as it marks the 10th anniversary of February being officially recognized by the Quebec government as Black History Month.

For ±«ÓãÖ±²¥â€™s first ever full Black History Month celebration, we will be organizing and collaborating on a variety of events and activities which highlight the diversity of Black history, Black culture and Black life. Events and activities will explore these following four sub-themes:

  • Health & Wellness
  • Science & Innovation
  • Education & Awareness
  • Arts

February may be the shortest month of the year, but it promises to be one of the most exciting and eventful as we prepare to launch BHM 2017 at ±«ÓãÖ±²¥. We invite students, staff, faculty and members of the Montreal community to celebrate with us!
