In Avativut (our lands) Silavut (our intellect): Inuit Education, Dr. Karla Williamson will discuss advancing Inuit knowledges in post-secondary education. 

Dr. Karla Jessen Williamson (Principal Investigator, University of Saskatchewan) is a kalaaleq – born and grown up in West coast of Greenland. An Assistant Professor of Educational Foundations at the University of Saskatchewan, she the first Inuk to be tenured at Canadian university. Doctoral degree from University of Aberdeen, UK. Specializes on Indigenous epistemology and experiences of the colonial systems and well appreciated locally, nationally and internationally. She has two adult children and three Inuktitut speaking grandchildren.
