From droughts in California to Covid lockdowns in China, events occurring thousands of kilometres away are having a profound impact on household economies, hindering our ability to put healthy food on our tables and to stock our wardrobes and medicine cabinets.

Join us at our next Made by ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ alumni webcast as we sit down with a pair of ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ professors with expertise in economics, agricultural production and supply chain management to try to make sense of the global forces that have led to half-empty store shelves and rising costs for groceries and other household staples.

Featured speakers

Javad Nasiry, Professor, Operations Management, Desautels Faculty of Management; Director of ±«ÓãÖ±²¥â€™s Sustainable Growth Initiative

Pascal Thériault, Senior Faculty Lecturer, Dept. of Farm Management and Technology, Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences

Moderated by Derek Cassoff, Managing Director, Communications, ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ Advancement
