Holstein and Multicultural Herd at Mac Farm in Top 20% of all herds using Lactanet’s milk recording and herd management services

Once again, the Dairy Farm Team’s hard work, high standards and attention to detail have resulted in the impressive performance of the Mac Dairy Herd.

Both the Holstein Herd and the Multicultural Herd, made up of Jerseys and Brown Swiss, are in the top 20% of all herds using Lactanet’s milk recording and herd management services. Of particular note is that we are well above the top 20% for milk value/cow, somatic cell count and age at first calving.

According to Farm Manager Paul Meldrum, “this [level of performance] requires a well-coordinated effort from everyone in the barn, working hand in hand with our veterinarian Dr. Maxime Despot and his colleagues, our Lactanet advisor Nathalie Rondeau, our associates at CIAQ, and our field crew who produce top quality forages for the herd. I applaud and thank all of you for your consistency and dedication. You should be proud of what you have accomplished!â€
