Biography: 

Dr. Paul Giacomini is a neurologist with expertise in multiple sclerosis and neuro-inflammatory disorders, as well as advanced neuroimaging techniques. He studied medicine at the University of Toronto and returned to his native Montreal to pursue his neurology residency at ±«ÓãÖ±²¥, followed by a clinical fellowship in multiple sclerosis, and post-doctoral studies evaluating non-conventional neuroimaging techniques in multiple sclerosis. He is currently a faculty member of ±«ÓãÖ±²¥, an Associate Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery, and an Attending physician at the Montreal Neurological Institute and the ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ Health Centre. He is also the Director of the MNI Multiple Sclerosis Clinic, as well as the Director of the ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ Neurology Fellowship Program in Multiple Sclerosis and Neuro-Inflammatory Disorders.

In addition to an active clinical practice specializing in multiple sclerosis and related disorders, Dr. Giacomini has served as a principal investigator in numerous clinical trials evaluating novel therapeutics in relapsing and progressive multiple sclerosis. He is also involved in neuro-immunology translational research aimed at better understanding the mechanism of action of multiple sclerosis therapeutics. He is very active in continuing medical education, lecturing locally and nationally on the management of multiple sclerosis and related disorders.
