On a cloudy afternoon this past December, a group of ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ students gathered in a downtown Montréal boardroom to give a data science presentation to Citera, a sustainability analytics company. This presentation wasn’t for an internship or any other extracurricular activity – it was part of one of ±«ÓãÖ±²¥â€™s newest and most innovative courses: MATH 527, Statistical Data Science Practicum.
Soup & Science: ±«ÓãÖ±²¥â€™s stew-pendous serving of research
Recently, ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ undergraduate students had the opportunity to savor an enriching blend of knowledge and soup at the 37th edition of Soup & Science. This week-long event, occurring once a semester, highlights research taking place on campus. This semester’s showcase included topics across disciplines, ranging from quantum meta-photonics to optogenetic stimulation in roundworms, and students were able to learn and engage with these topics in an intimate setting.

Mike Auksi, Anishinaabe and Estonian, is a fifth-year doctoral candidate in the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education, connected to Lac Seul First Nation and Pelican Lake hockey team, and played for the Lac Seul Eagles and Stars hockey teams.

Call for Research Participants: Paid Study in Endurance Runners
Participate in this study to investigate the acute independent effects of dietary protein supplementation on bone metabolism in healthy adults aged 18-35 years participating in high-volume endurance running.
Duration: One baseline visit followed by two trials of 2 days each (approximately 15 hours total).
Criteria: 1) Must be between the age of 18 - 35 years old 2) Running at least 40 km/week the past 6 months
Participate in a Research Study on Bone Health & Exercise Behaviours in Diabetes
Looking for adults aged 50 and above diagnosed with either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes to participate in a research study.
Participation involves one audio-recorded interview conducted via Microsoft Teams or by phone.
