Overview

History : This Honours seminar will explore some of the major historiographical issues in 19th century U.S. history, including Jacksonian democracy, women and domesticity, the nature of slavery, the causes and consequences of Civil War. Particular themes will vary from year to year.

Terms: This course is not scheduled for the 2010-2011 academic year.

Instructors: There are no professors associated with this course for the 2010-2011 academic year.

  • Prerequisite: any course in U.S. history or permission of instructor
  • Students must register for both HIST 468D1 and HIST 468D2.
  • No credit will be given for this course unless both HIST 468D1 and HIST 468D2 are successfully completed in consecutive terms
