MFM is a new initiative spearheaded by theÌýAdvanced BioImaging Facility (ABIF), theÌýCell Imaging and Analysis Network (CIAN)Ìýand theÌýÌýthat will provide public awareness, recycling, and elimination of mercury based light sources for microscopy.
The session will include:
- Introduction to the MFM initiative and the ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ Sustainability Projects Fund
- Presentation of alternatives to mercury-based illumination sources
- Scientific data comparing several illumination systems to traditional mercury based lamps
- Vendor Exhibits of currently available state-of-the-art mercury free technologies
