Nomination for the Award for Equity & Community Building
±«ÓãÖ±²¥â€™sÌýAward for Equity & Community BuildingÌýwas approved by Senate and the Board of Governors in April 2012. This awardÌýrecognizes the work of students, faculty and staff committed to advancing equity and diversity at ±«ÓãÖ±²¥. The first competition for the award will be held in 2013, with a nomination deadline of March 15thÌý2013.
Within the award, there are three streams of recognition. Up to three awards may be granted per year, one in each stream.
- ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ academic staff
- ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ administrative and support staff
- ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ students
The award brings with it a monetary award and an engraved plaque.
Nominees should beÌýactively involved in promoting diversity and inclusivity within the ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ community. The nomination letter and letters of support should address ways in which the nominee has shown exceptional leadership, initiative and commitment to equity, diversity and community building.
