±«ÓãÖ±²¥'s Greenhouse Gas Inventory

±«ÓãÖ±²¥ manages a stock of buildings of over 600,000 m² which are on average fifty years of age and older.  A leader in education and research, ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ is characterized by very research-intensive activities, a travelling population, and high energy intensity.
In 2015 ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ emitted 54,062 tonnes of CO2e.  This is the equivalent emissions from 11,420 cars in one year.  The University has already reduced absolute greenhouse gas emissions 25% below the 1990 levels (45% reduction per full-time equivalent student).  ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ is now working on a plan to further reduce its environmental impact and align with government’s targets.
