Now in its 28th year, the MBHS provides a forum for faculty and graduate students sharing a research interest in any phase of British History (very broadly defined). Papers of about 45-50 minutes or pre-circulated papers are followed by discussion.
The goal of this workshop is to help students learn how to create a narrative that captures their scholarly work for diverse audiences. This workshop does a deep dive into the rhetorical strategies of effective presentations.
Stepping into the professional world for an internship can sometimes be a bit daunting. This workshop will explore etiquette and expectations in the workplace and offer tips on how to transition from the classroom setting to internships in the professional space.
