2022 award winners

The Faculty of Science Excellence Awards recognize outstanding performance and contributions made by members of the Faculty’s administrative and support staff classified in four categories: Academic Associate, Clerical, Management, and Technical. The committee, comprised of staff members from each department, received nominations for three of these categories.

Congratulations to mezzo-sopranos Rose Naggar-Tremblay (BMus’17) and Simone McIntosh (MMus'17, Wirth Vocal Prize Winner 2016-2017), who received first and second place respectively at the 82nd OSM Competition! The 2021 edition, held between September 13 and November 27, took place online enabling the public from coast to coast to access contestants’ performances.

Emmanuella Lambropoulos, newly re-elected Federal MP for the Saint-Laurent riding is one of 98 women elected to the House of Commons this past fall and one of the youngest of these female Members of Parliament. A ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ Education alumna (B.Ed. '13),ÌýLambropoulos is complementing her political career by completing her Master's in Educational Leadership within the Faculty's Department of Integrated Studies in Education. School of Information Studies alumna and Education Liaison Librarian Maya Kucij (MLIS '08) has been awarded the ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ Library's 2013 Librarian Excellence Award. The award recognizes a ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ librarian who has demonstrated excellence in academic librarianship and has shown efforts to improve library services through innovative practice, initiative and resourcefulness.

Recent School of Information Studies PhD graduates Guillaume Boutard and Amandine Pras have been awarded two-year FQRSC post-doctoral fellowships.

Guillaume will be continuing his research at Université de Montréal and Amandine at Columbia University. Congratulations Guillaume & Amandine!
