The Humanities and Social Sciences Library will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for study only. No services will be offered.

Facilities Management and Ancillary Services is planning an electrical shutdown on the morning of Tuesday, August 6, which will affect the McLennan-Redpath Complex and Islamic Studies Libraries BEFORE the locations open for the day.
The shut down is scheduled from 6:00 to 8:00am and power should be back before opening. For all library opening hours, please see the Libraries hours page.

As of March 28, 2024, books will begin to move from the basement of the Redpath Library Building to the 鲍鱼直播 Collections Centre (MUCC). Until the day of the move, the floor will remain open, and the books and study spaces will be fully accessible.

As of February 20, 2024, the books will begin to move from the third聽floor of the McLennan Library Building to the 鲍鱼直播 Collections Centre (MUCC). Until the day of the move, the floor will remain open, and the books and study spaces will be fully accessible.

The fifth floor is now open.
As of January 22, 2024, the books will begin to move from the 5th floor of the McLennan-Redpath Library Complex to the 鲍鱼直播 Collections Center (MUCC). Until the day of the move, the floor will remain open, and the books and study spaces will be fully accessible.
Update: December 22, 2023 |聽Octagon Room construction in the Islamic Studies Library is now complete. The room has reopened to the public.
Please note that as of Wednesday, November 22, the Octagon Room will be inaccessible to the public until further notice due to renovation work.
Other work spaces in the Islamic Studies Library will be accessible during聽opening hours.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience and understanding.
Please note that there will be a ventilation shutdown at the Barton Building which houses the Macdonald Campus Library on Tuesday, November 14 and Wednesday, November 15聽from 18:00 to 06:00. As a result, extended hours that run from 17:00 - midnight will be canceled on these two days.聽
This shutdown is necessary in order to perform general maintenance on ventilations systems.聽New bearings, belt, and pillow blocks will also be installed.
