In response to COVID-19, has made over two million books from 鲍鱼直播 Library鈥檚 print collection available online for all 鲍鱼直播 students, faculty, and staff. The includes in-copyright material. The new service provides remote access to over half of 鲍鱼直播鈥檚 print collection.
Secret study spots, sun-lit nooks, silence in the stacks 鈥� we miss it all. Most of all, we miss seeing our users. So we created some library-themed and campus Zoom backgrounds to help the community feel connected while working remotely. Due to the 鲍鱼直播 VPN being currently unavailable as a method to access Library e-resources, users can access PressReader through a . A to authenticate the PressReader mobile app via EZproxy with the creation of a personal PressReader account.
In order to support the 鲍鱼直播 community and it听moves听towards remote instruction & learning听during the COVID-19 crisis, many publishers are offering some or all of their e-resources freely for a period of a few months. 鲍鱼直播 Library has put together a list of these publishers and their 鈥榦pen鈥� or freely available resources on a dedicated webpage. While not exhaustive, the Library听will continue to add resources to this page as we find out about them.

The Library is offering a one-time retrieval service听for research print materials from all downtown libraries to members of the 鲍鱼直播 community. Only items that can normally circulate will be retrieved.

Further to Quebec government and university directives, 鲍鱼直播 campuses will be closed until May 1. As a result, all library branches on both campuses will be closed until May 1.
As a result of the closure, the Library is implementing the听following initiatives:
Space Update: The Osler Library of the History of Medicine space has been repaired and reconstructed. The third and fourth floor spaces surrounding the Osler Library and managed by the Faculty of Medicine are now being renovated. As a result, the Osler Library of the History of Medicine will be operational following the completion of this construction project. Library services in McIntyre are expected to resume in 2021.
Osler materials continue to be accessible and Osler staff are available to assist users.
As a result of the water infiltration and recovery efforts related to McIntyre Medical Building听fire incident听in July, the Osler Library continues to be closed until further notice. The Osler recovery team has been focusing their efforts on restoring materials and making holdings from the Osler Library of the History of Medicine collection accessible to users.听

As a result of the water infiltration and recovery efforts related to McIntyre Medical Building fire incident in July, the Osler Library continues to be closed until further notice. The Osler recovery team has been focusing their efforts on securing the contents of the Osler Library of the History of Medicine. All books, rare books, art, and artefacts from the Osler have been wrapped, packed, and removed so that a complete inspection of the Osler section of the building can begin.听
Please note that on听Friday, July 20 from 7am to 3pm, the terrace facing lower field along the Redpath Library Building will be inaccessible due to tree removal.听
The terrace will be closed from the north end (Redpath Museum) to the terrace garden.听
Access to lower campus and the McLennan Library Building continues to be听accessible from McTavish Street. Two security agents will be on site to听redirect pedestrian traffic on McTavish street.听
