The Institutional Communications team is an experienced and dedicated central resource providing strategic advice for communicating and promoting ±«ÓãÖ±²¥â€™s leading institutional and academic research initiatives to the general public, partners, stakeholders and media all over the world, as well as to the entire ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ community.
We support ±«ÓãÖ±²¥â€™s academic mission and strategic priorities through effective and impactful external and internal communication outreach initiatives.
We are ±«ÓãÖ±²¥â€™s point of contact with the media. Representatives from the media can gain valuable access to ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ experts or find newsworthy stories about ±«ÓãÖ±²¥â€™s research discoveries and events in our newsroom.
Moreover, we manage and promote, news, events and announcements, including the ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ Reporter online newspaper and What’s New e-newsletters, Alnotes mass email, The President’s Prize for public outreach, as well as via our @mcgillu main university social media channels (, , , and ). We provide direction and guidance in social media as well as media training to faculties, administrative units and graduate students.
