Kyoto-±«ÓãÖ±²¥ International Collaborative Program in Genomic Medicine – Joint Ph.D.
As world leaders in research and graduate education, ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ and have joined forces to establish a joint Ph.D. degree in genomic medicine. Building on a strong institutional partnership based on complementary strengths, the joint Ph.D. degree offers a unique opportunity for research-intensive training at the interface between large-scale approaches to biology and quantitative methodologies with application to human health and disease.

and Manipal-±«ÓãÖ±²¥ Research Collaboration (MMRC)
The Manipal-±«ÓãÖ±²¥ Program for Infectious Diseases (MAP-ID) launched in 2016. Both ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ and the have strong reputations in infectious disease research especially in the areas of TB, HIV, and malaria. The goals of the program include fostering research collaborations between Manipal and ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ faculty; identifying promising infectious disease researchers and trainees at Manipal and supporting them to attend the ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ Summer Institute in Infectious Diseases and Global Health; identifying promising ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ trainees and faculty to be under the mentorship of Manipal faculty; and establishing conferences, short courses and workshops taught jointly by Manipal and ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ faculty.
In 2018, ongoing collaborations between the ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ School of Physical and Occupational Therapy (SPOT) and Manipal were formalized, building upon MAP-ID. Starting in 2018, ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ Global Health Programs has supported shared activities between the and ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ SPOT. In early 2020, a collaborative agreement between the two institutions was formalized through the signing of an Annex to the Manipal-±«ÓãÖ±²¥ MOU during a visit by the SPOT Director and Associate Dean, Laurie Snider to Manipal. This important event was also an opportunity to celebrate past and ongoing collaborations between the two institutions and identify new ways of sharing expertise and learning from each other. Along with research activities, the now formal partnership also supports bilateral exchanges of faculty and students, new project seed funding, and shared knowledge exchange activities including symposia and webinars. Many of these events are made possible through the ongoing support of ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ Global Health Programs.
