Elle examine l鈥檌ncertitude et l鈥檌mpr茅visibilit茅 du monde qui nous entoure et le besoin incontr么lable de l鈥櫭猼re humain de le dompter. Th茅or锚t-Groulx est originaire de Gatineau o霉 elle a obtenu un baccalaur茅at 脠s Art avec majeure en arts visuels et mineure en bande dessin茅e de l鈥橴niversit茅 du Qu茅bec en Outaouais. En 2014 elle compl茅tait une maitrise en arts m茅diatiques de Emily Carr University of Art + Design 脿 Vancouver pour laquelle elle a re莽u une bourse d鈥櫭﹖udes sup茅rieures Joseph-Armand-Bombardier du Conseil de recherche en sciences humaines du Canada. Th茅or锚t-Groulx a 茅t茅 artiste en r茅sidence au Banff Centre en Alberta, au centre d鈥檃rtiste DA脧M脭N 脿 Gatineau, 脿 Pigment Sauvage 脿 Baltimore et au Vermont Studio Center. De 2015 脿 2019 elle a 茅t茅 artiste r茅sidente aux ateliers montr茅alais de la Fonderie Darling. Son travail a 茅t茅 pr茅sent茅 dans plusieurs expositions individuelles et collectives notamment 脿 la Fonderie Darling, au Centre Clark, 脿 DARE-DARE et 脿 la Galerie B-312 脿 Montr茅al, 脿 Verticale 脿 Laval, au Centre des arts Shenkman 脿 Ottawa puis au ICA 脿 Baltimore, dans l鈥櫭﹖at du Maryland. Elle est pr茅sentement bas茅e 脿 Montr茅al.

PASCALE TH脡OR脢T-GROULX is a Montreal based artist working in video, performance and installation. Her work investigates the body鈥檚 relationship to its physical, social and psychic environment. She examines the uncertainty and unpredictability of the world around and within us,聽and the uncontrollable human need to tame it.聽Th茅or锚t-Groulx is originally from Gatineau where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts with a major in visual arts and a minor in comics from the University du Quebec en Outaouais. In 2014 she completed a master's degree in media arts at Emily Carr University of Art + Design in Vancouver for which she received a Joseph-Armand-Bombardier graduate scholarship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. Th茅or锚t-Groulx has been an artist in residence at the Banff Center in Alberta, at DA脧MON in Gatineau, at Pigment Sauvage in Baltimore and at the Vermont Studio Center. From 2015 to 2019 she was a resident artist at the Fonderie Darling in Montreal. She has shown her work in several solo and group exhibitions including at the Fonderie Darling, Centre Clark, DARE-DARE and Galerie B-312 in Montreal, at Verticale in Laval, at the聽Shenkman Arts Centre in Ottawa聽and at ICA in Baltimore, Maryland.
