Guarantee certificate

The guarantee certificate is a contract between you,ÌýAFE and your financial institution. It allows for your aid to be deposited into your bank account.

When you first apply to AFE, you will need to collect your guarantee certificate and take it to a participating financial institution.

Full-time students

First-time applicants to ´¡¹ó·¡â€™s Loans and Bursaries Program for full-time studies will be notified by AFE when their guarantee certificate is available in their online file. The guarantee certificate will be made available after AFE receives ±«ÓãÖ±²¥â€™s confirmation of the student’s enrolment. The first confirmation of enrolment for the academic year takes place in mid-August. You will need to print your guarantee certificate and take it to a branch of one of the participating financial institutions.

Part-time students

Guarantee certificates for students who apply to ´¡¹ó·¡â€™s Loans program for part-time studies will be mailed by AFE directly to the student’s mailing address. The student must then take the guarantee certificate to a branch of one of the participating financial institutions.
