Careers Days
The Career Development Office (CDO) organizes four career fairs annually. The first two – Civil Law and Common Law Career Days – take place in January and February in preparation for the Canadian recruitment processes. Over 80 legal employers visit the Faculty of Law to speak to students about the opportunities available at their law firm, government body, or organization. The third career fair – Public Interest Career Day – is organized in conjunction with the Human Rights Working Group and other student clubs. During this February event, guest speakers and panellists discuss opportunities for law graduates in various public interest fields. The fourth and final Career Fair is the Graduate Studies and Academic Career Days which is held in the fall. Guest professors and panellists address the different steps leading to an academic career. Numerous universities send representatives of graduate law programs to answer students’ questions and discuss the opportunities that await them.
