Allan Memorial Institute (Ravenscrag).
Note the misspelling on the card "Raavenskrag".

The ā€œAllanā€ was constructed in 1863 on the southern slope of Mount Royal for the shipping magnate Sir Hugh Allan. It was named Ravenscrag after a castle in Scotland. It had 72 rooms, including an imposing central tower from which Allan could view his steamships arriving in Montrealā€™s harbor. The building was given to the Royal Victoria Hospital by Allanā€™s descendants in 1940 to house its Psychiatry Department. Unfortunately, much of the buildingā€™s ornate interior was destroyed during its transformation for this purpose. The building is still being used for outpatient psychiatric service by the ±«ÓćÖ±²„ Health Center.
